These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Freedomfield website and the purchase of products from us.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Products
Freedomfield creates handmade garments using primarily reclaimed and upcycled textiles and materials.
Due to the nature of reclaimed fabrics and handmade production:
· Each item is unique and one-of-a-kind
· Minor imperfections, wear marks, tonal variation or irregularities may be present
· Fabric composition and fibre content may sometimes be unknown
· Colours may appear differently depending on screen settings
We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and describe products.
2. Handmade Variations
All garments are individually handmade and may contain slight differences in stitching, sizing, fabric placement or finishing.
These variations are not considered faults and form part of the character of handmade products.
3. Pricing
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change without notice.
Shipping costs, duties and taxes (where applicable) are calculated separately at checkout.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local fees charged by their country.
4. Promotional Offers, Discount Codes & Sales
Freedomfield may offer promotional discounts, discount codes, sales or special offers from time to time.
Unless otherwise stated:
· Promotional offers cannot be combined with other discounts or offers;
· Discount codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be retrospectively applied after an order is placed;
· Promotional offers are subject to availability and may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time;
· Specific terms may apply to individual promotions and will be published with the relevant offer.
5. Orders
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including:
· Product unavailability
· Pricing errors
· Suspected fraudulent activity
· Shipping restrictions
If payment has already been processed for a cancelled order, a refund will be issued.
6. Sizing Disclaimer
Freedomfield garments are individually handmade and may vary slightly in fit, measurement and silhouette.
Many garment designs are intentionally oversized, relaxed, unisex or gender-neutral in fit. Fit may vary between individuals depending on body shape and styling preference. Please refer to individual garment measurements and product descriptions before purchasing.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all measurements and product descriptions prior to purchase. We recommend comparing garment measurements with a similar item you own.
Measurements are taken manually and slight variations may occur.
As garments are one-of-a-kind, exchanges for alternate sizes are generally not available.
Due to the handmade nature of our garments and variations in the fibre composition of upcycled fabrics, sizing, fit and drape may vary slightly between pieces. We do not guarantee fit, and variations in fit are not considered faults under Australian Consumer Law.
Variations in fit, drape or sizing preference do not constitute a fault under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you require assistance with sizing, extended sizing or custom sizing enquiries, please contact us prior to purchase where possible.
7. Care Instructions
Freedomfield garments are handmade from reclaimed and upcycled textiles.
Due to the nature of vintage and reclaimed materials, natural variations in texture, fading, wear and fabric character are part of the design and individuality of each piece.
Recommended care instructions:
· Warm gentle machine wash
· Wash inside a lingerie or garment bag to help protect decorative or vintage buttons
· Line dry in shade
· Do not tumble dry
· Do not dry clean
· Do not bleach
· Warm iron if required
Fibre composition is often unknown due to the reclaimed nature of materials used.
Customers should take additional care when laundering garments containing vintage fabrics, trims or decorative elements. Some fabrics may require more delicate handling than new fabrics. Some fabrics may respond unpredictably to washing, including slight shrinkage, fading or texture changes.
8. Shipping & Returns
Freedomfield ships within Australia and to selected international destinations.
8.1. Processing Times
All garments are handmade and carefully prepared for shipment.
Orders are generally dispatched within 3 business days unless otherwise stated on the product listing or website.
During collection launches, sales periods or holidays, processing times may be longer.
8.2. Domestic Shipping
Australian orders are shipped via Australia Post.
Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary depending on location and postal service delays.
8.3. International Shipping
International shipping is available to selected countries.
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or local fees charged by their country.
Freedomfield is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing or international postal services.
8.4. Lost or Delayed Parcels
We are responsible for ensuring your order is delivered to you. However, once parcels are lodged with the shipping carrier, delivery is outside our control.
If your parcel is significantly delayed or appears lost, please contact us at freedomfieldhandmade@outlook.com and we will work with the shipping carrier to investigate.
Where a parcel is confirmed lost or not delivered, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
8.5. Returns & Exchanges
Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of Freedomfield garments, we generally do not offer returns or exchanges for:
· Change of mind
· Incorrect sizing selection
· Preference changes after purchase
· Minor handmade or reclaimed material variations described on the website
Please read all product descriptions, measurements and care information carefully before purchasing.
8.6. Return Process
Before returning any item, you must contact us to obtain return approval.
Approved returns must be sent to the address provided. Items should be returned in their original condition unless faulty.
We recommend using tracked shipping, as we are not responsible for returns lost in transit. Customers may be responsible for return postage costs unless the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a return is accepted, items must not have been worn, washed, altered or damaged after delivery.
8.7. Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds are typically processed within 5 business days after approval, however processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.
We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on our website.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary due to postal delays, customs processing or other circumstances outside our control.
Custom (made-to-order) items are offered on a pre-order basis. Once production has commenced, custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified. Full payment upfront is required for all custom orders before production commences. Custom (made-to-order) products are subject to limited availability at our discretion.
Risk in products passes to the customer upon delivery.
9. Consumer Rights
9.1. Faulty or Incorrect Items
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if goods:
· are faulty or defective;
· are not as described; or
· do not meet acceptable quality.
If the issue amounts to a major failure, you may choose between a refund or replacement.
If the issue is a minor failure, we may choose to repair or replace the item within a reasonable time.
To request a remedy, please contact us within 15 days of delivery with:
· Your order number
· A description of the issue
· Clear photographs where relevant
9.2. One-of-a-Kind Items
As most garments are unique and cannot be replicated exactly, replacement items may not be available.
Where appropriate, Freedomfield may offer:
· Repair
· Store credit
· Refund
· Alternative solution at our discretion and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to meet acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for:
· Change of mind
· Incorrect sizing selection
· Minor variations consistent with handmade or reclaimed materials

9.3. Care Responsibility
We are not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow care instructions, normal wear and tear, or the inherent characteristics of reclaimed or vintage materials.
10. Free Lifetime Mending Service
As part of our commitment to sustainability, circular fashion and extending the life of our garments, Freedomfield offers a complimentary lifetime mending service for eligible Freedomfield-branded garments ("Free Lifetime Mending"). This service is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
10.1. Eligibility
Free Lifetime Mending is available for Freedomfield-branded garments for the operational lifetime of our business, being while Freedomfield remains actively trading, marketing and selling products.
All repair requests are subject to prior assessment and approval by Freedomfield. We may request photographs or other information before determining whether a garment is eligible for the service.
10.2. What Is Covered
Subject to assessment, Free Lifetime Mending may include repair of reasonable wear and tear, including:
· Missing buttons
· Small rips, tears, scuffs or holes
· Worn, loose or broken stitching
· Similar minor repairable damage arising through normal use.
10.3. What Is Not Covered
Free Lifetime Mending does not apply to damage that, in our reasonable opinion, is excessive, irreparable, or beyond the scope of a practical repair, including:
· Large tears, holes or areas of significant damage
· Missing sections or substantial areas of fabric
· Stains, bleaching, discolouration or fading
· Damage caused by misuse, inappropriate use, excessive wear, neglect or improper storage
· Damage resulting from failure to follow care instructions
· Damage caused by alterations or repairs performed by third parties
· Any damage that cannot reasonably be repaired while maintaining the structural integrity of the garment.
Freedomfield reserves the right to determine whether a repair falls within the scope of the Free Lifetime Mending service.
10.4. Postage and Shipping
Customers are responsible for all shipping and postage costs associated with Free Lifetime Mending, including the cost of sending the garment to Freedomfield and providing prepaid return postage packaging or satchels where requested.
Customers bear all risk associated with shipping garments to and from Freedomfield and may choose their preferred carrier and shipping method.
10.5. Repair Outcomes
While we take reasonable care to perform repairs as neatly and sympathetically as possible, repaired areas may remain visible due to the nature of the garment, fabric, damage or repair method.
Repair options, expected outcomes and estimated repair timeframes may be discussed during the assessment process and will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
10.6. Replacement Buttons
Where replacement buttons are required, an exact match may not always be available. In such cases, Freedomfield may, at its discretion:
· Replace the missing button with a similar alternative button; or
· Replace multiple buttons to achieve a more consistent appearance.
10.7. Service Availability
The Free Lifetime Mending service is provided in good faith as a voluntary sustainability initiative and is not a guarantee or warranty of the lifespan of any garment.
Freedomfield reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Free Lifetime Mending service at any time. Any such change will not affect repair requests that have already been approved by Freedomfield prior to the change taking effect.
11. Fibre Content & Handmade Variations Disclaimer
Freedomfield garments and products are created primarily from reclaimed and upcycled textiles, fabrics, buttons and trims.
Because reclaimed materials are sourced second-hand or rescued from existing textiles, the original fibre composition is often unknown and cannot always be verified or guaranteed.
Where fibre content is known, we will provide that information in the product description where possible.
Unless explicitly stated:
· Fabric fibre composition may be unknown
· Fabrics may contain natural, synthetic or blended fibres
· Buttons, trims and decorative components may vary in age, wear and composition
The only consistently new materials used in our garments are:
· Polyester sewing thread
· Woven iron-on interfacing
Customers with allergies, sensitivities or specific fibre requirements should contact us before purchasing.
11.1. Handmade & Reclaimed Material Variations
Each Freedomfield garment is individually handmade and one-of-a-kind.
Due to the nature of handmade construction and reclaimed materials, products may include:
· Minor signs of prior textile life
· Subtle marks, fading, wear or texture variation
· Slight irregularities in stitching or finishing
· Variations in fabric placement and pattern alignment
These characteristics are intentional and form part of the individuality, sustainability and aesthetic of the garment.
No two pieces will be identical.
These characteristics are inherent to reclaimed and handmade garments and are not considered faults under the Australian Consumer Law.
Reclaimed and vintage textiles may have a different lifespan and performance compared to new fabrics.
Customers acknowledge that variations in durability, texture and ageing are part of the nature of these materials.
11.2. Allergies and Sensitivities
Customers with known allergies, skin sensitivities or specific fibre requirements should contact us prior to purchasing.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for allergic reactions or sensitivities arising from unknown or mixed fibre compositions.
12. Intellectual Property
All original Freedomfield products and website content, including garments, apparel, photographs, branding, designs, logos and text (IP) remain the property of Freedomfield unless otherwise stated.
All IP may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the supply of goods or use of our website is limited to:
· the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods;
· the repair of the goods;
· the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods; or
· the payment of the cost of having the goods repaired.
This limitation is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and does not apply where it would be unlawful to do so.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profits or opportunity.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, postal disruptions, supply shortages, or technical failures.
15. AI Use & Creative Process Disclaimer
Freedomfield is a human-led creative brand.
Some digital tools incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) may occasionally be used to assist with non-product creative or operational tasks such as written content drafting, brainstorming, image editing, mock-ups, marketing assistance or website administration.
All garments, designs, construction methods, material sourcing and final creative decisions are independently developed, curated and handmade by Freedomfield.
Any AI-assisted content published by Freedomfield is reviewed and edited by a human prior to publication.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that all product photographs and images accurately represent the product being sold. However, colours, tones and textures may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, editing processes and individual screen settings. These differences are not considered faults under Australian Consumer Law.
Where AI-generated or digitally altered imagery is used for styling, conceptual or promotional purposes, this will be disclosed where appropriate.
Freedomfield does not use AI to mass-produce garments or generate identical products. Each piece remains individually handmade and one-of-a-kind.
16. Accessibility & Inclusivity
Freedomfield is committed to creating clothing and an online experience that is welcoming, inclusive and accessible. We aim to design garments that support a wide range of people, identities and bodies. However, due to the handmade and small-scale nature of our business, accessibility and inclusivity may be subject to practical limitations.
Our garments are designed with a focus on:
· Unisex and gender-inclusive styling
· Flexible and relaxed fits
· Size inclusivity
· Individual self-expression
While we aim to offer size inclusivity where possible, sizing availability may vary between garments due to limited fabric quantities and the one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces.
Extended sizing and custom sizing may be available for selected designs upon request. All custom or extended sizing requests are subject to fabric availability, design constraints and production capacity, and cannot be guaranteed.
We will always do our best to accommodate requests where possible.
16.1. Accessibility Limitations
While we strive to create an inclusive and accessible experience, we do not warrant that our website or products will be fully accessible to all users at all times.
Accessibility needs vary, and some limitations may exist due to the nature of handmade garments, third-party platforms, or technical constraints.

17. Website Use
You agree not to misuse this website, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful purposes.
18. Privacy

19. Changes to These Terms
Freedomfield may update or amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
Any updated version will be published on our website and will take effect from the date of publication unless otherwise stated.
Continued use of our website or purchase of products after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of those changes.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
